The bundle extractor is also called bundle puller. The main part of heat exchanger bundle extractor include the mechanical frame, power system, traction device, and positioning mechanism. The mechanical framework is the supporting structure of the entire equipment. It is usually made of high-strength steel and has good rigidity and stability, capable of withstanding the huge tension and pressure generated during the pumping and installation process, ensuring the safety of equipment operation. The power system is generally composed of motors or diesel engines, hydraulic pumps or pneumatic devices, providing power sources for the pumping and installation machine. Taking the hydraulic-driven pumping bundle extractor as an example, the hydraulic pump converts the mechanical energy of the engine into hydraulic energy and transmits the power through hydraulic oil, featuring strong power, stable operation, and ease of control.

The traction device is the direct actuator for tube bundle extractor, and common types include chain and rack. The chain-type pulling device is connected to the winch on the bundle extractor via a chain. Driven by the power system, the chain drives the winch to extract or install the tube bundle. The positioning mechanism ensures the precise positioning of the tube bundle during installation and removal, preventing it from shifting or tilting, and ensuring smooth running. It generally consists of receiver system and other components which can be adjusted according to the heat exchanger model and bundle size.
